love in a craggy-faced white man named henry

who is henry miller?  paulo coelho’s blog has a tremendous quote from him that inspired me yesterday.  i had heard of the book … the tropic of cancer but never read it or knew who wrote it.  interestingly enough, i need to read more examples of novels that don’t stick to all the ‘novel’ rules.  of course, i’m working on one that is indeed part auto-biography and a mixture of past and present.  i think this second half of my life is studying all the white people i avoided in the first half of my life.  see how racism holds you back.  nah but truly you know, that i know, all things unfold at their due time.
